\r\n*******************************************\r\nRIKEN BioResource Research Center Cell Bank\r\n   MAILNEWS 20200707\r\nhttps:\/\/cell.brc.riken.jp\/en\/<\/a>\r\n*******************************************\r\n\r\nRIKEN BioResource Research Center \u201cCell Bank\u201d is announcing our \r\nnew e-mail newsletter. \r\n\r\n===================================\r\n- Renewal of the RIKEN BRC Website\r\n===================================\r\n\r\nDear Users,\r\n\r\nWe are pleased to announce that the renewed Website of RIKEN BioResource \r\nResearch Center (RIKEN BRC) was released to the public on June 30.\r\n\r\nIn this renewal, we completely redesigned the layout throughout the \r\nwebsite and improved contents and its search function. The major purpose \r\nof this renewal is to allow our users to access easily to bioresources \r\nand their related information.\r\n\r\nPlease access to https:\/\/brc.riken.jp<\/a> (No change of the URL) \r\nand take advantage of the following new features of the website:\r\n\r\nAt the search bar, entitled \"Search for bioresources\", on the top page, \r\nyou can quickly search multiple resources (mouse strains, cell lines, \r\nplant resources, microorganisms and genetic materials) distributed by \r\nRIKEN BRC simultaneously, by entering keywords.\r\n\r\nAs-you-type auto-complete function is installed to help you at the \r\nsearch bar. When you type in first few characters of a keyword, the \r\nsystem automatically suggests the list of names of candidate \r\nbioresources and genes. In this way, the system assists you so that \r\nreliable search results can be obtained.\r\n\r\nYou can now directly access to a webpage of a Resource Division by \r\nclicking one of the five photo panels of bioresources on the Top Page \r\nfor detailed information of bioresources that you wish to search.\r\n\r\nThe menu and contents of \"Information for Users\", \"For General Public\" \r\nand \"About RIKEN BRC\" were completely revised. Our aim was to improve \r\ncontents of how to find, obtain and use bioresources. We also revised \r\nthe page layouts so that our users can access easily to the information \r\nthat they want.\r\n\r\nThe website can be accessed from smartphones or tablets by the dynamic \r\nlayout change.\r\n\r\nYou can access our new database for genome variation in mouse, \"MoG+\" \r\n( https:\/\/molossinus.brc.riken.jp\/<\/a> ). \r\nMoG+ contains mouse genomic variation data among inbred mouse strains \r\nestablished in Japan and major classical inbred strains. MoG+ provides \r\nvaluable reference data for wide range of studies in biomedical \r\nresearches.\r\n\r\nWe will continue to update and improve our web pages to provide latest \r\nand useful information related to bioresources with better usability \r\nand accessibility.\r\n\r\nWe sincerely hope that this renewal of our website is satisfactory for \r\nyou and meets your research needs.
